First time renting from us?
Upon arrival at the airport, a Spirit Representative will meet clients at the airport outside
the arrival hall on the left hand side holding a sign with the clients name on it.

Spirit will also deliver vehicles anywhere on the island of Barbados at no additional charge.

Driver's Permit
A local driver's permit is required and may be obtained
from our offices at the time of rental for US$5.00.
The driver's permit is valid for 1 year.
Spirit Rent A Car will rent to customers with a minimum 3 years
driving experience and a clean driving record. Customers will be required
to complete a Drivers Insurance declaration form. Drivers must satisfy the
minimum requirements on the declaration form.
We reserve the right to refuse any renter.
Additional drivers
Additional drivers permitted. A surcharge of $1.73 applies
(per additional driver)

Spirit Rent A Car accepts the following methods of payment:
CASH, Travellers Cheques, VISA, Master Card, Amex, Discover
Insurance Policies and Surcharges
We offer three Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) options for our clients convenience:
Basic CDW - limits the liability of the driver to a maximum of US$1000.00 in the event of an accident.
Standard CDW - limits the driver liability to a maximum of US$500.00 in the event of an accident.
Premium CDW - relieves the driver of liability in the event of an accident.
Please note:
CDW is NOT insurance, and does not cover damage to tires, rims or interior components of the vehicle.
CDW is void where vehicles are used in contravention of our rental contract.

Drivers are liable for all parking tickets, and traffic violations while the vehicle is in their care.
Failure to pay such fines will result in an administration charge in addition to the total cost of the fine
and legal costs.
Driving Tips
The law stipulates that all drivers and passengers MUST wear seat belts. Failure to comply can result in a fine of BDS$500.00
Use only gasoline with the octane recommended in your owner's manual.
